How to add page numbers to a PDF without uploading it

Choose a PDF, set the physical page range, then choose the number shown on the first selected page. “Page 1 of 12” counts only the pages you selected for numbering. Odd and even filters use the PDF’s physical page order, which is useful for printed packets and mirrored layouts.

The placement preview shows margins and alignment rather than rendering private document content. Siftlet writes the number directly into a new PDF copy with an embedded standard font. An optional text watermark can be stamped during the same pass.

Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked by their owner before use. Complex signed PDFs may invalidate an existing digital signature when any visible content is changed, so keep the original file.
